General Commercial & News Media

- Sun ’n Fun is the only authorized library for Sun ’n Fun Recordings.
- No commercial entity shall maintain or service a film or videotape library of Sun ’n Fun footage, except as specifically authorized in writing by Sun ’n Fun.
- No individual or commercial entity shall intercept and/or record any video feed or satellite transmission used in the distribution of the coverage of any SnF event to its authorized broadcast and cable networks or other authorized users except with the express written consent of SnF.
- No commercial entity may make any Recording of any SnF event or activity, including without limitation, the annual Sun ’n Fun Fly-In, without the express written permission of SnF. Every approved broadcaster’s camera operator (commercial or news media) at SnF Fly-In must display the access sticker issued by SnF. Video or film camera operators who do not display the proper access credential will be escorted off the grounds. Violators may be denied access to future SnF events and legal action may ensue.
- Use of video material recorded by home-style cameras is restricted to personal use, and any commercial or other use without the express written consent of SnF is strictly prohibited. This includes the sale of any footage obtained on the grounds of SnF to any broadcast entity or other entity.
- No commercial entity (except legitimately accredited and credentialed media operating under Broadcast/News Media Guidelines outlined in this document) may rebroadcast, retransmit, supply, sell, or re-sell any video material of any Sun ’n Fun event, including the annual Sun ’n Fun Fly-In, without the express written consent of SnF.
- Use of video material obtained from any SnF event shall be limited to such use as outlined in this document or as specified in an applicable Licensing Agreement obtained from SnF.
- >“Non-linear” use of SnF content in any program, which includes (but is not limited to) archived television content on the Internet, television content available on a video-on-demand basis, and television content made available via PVR downloads is prohibited without expressed prior written permission by SnF. This also includes images distributed through formats that include (but are not limited to) cellular, personal communications services and other methods of providing content to handheld digital devices pages, specialized mobile radio and wireless internet (including WIFI).
Broadcast/News Media Guidelines
- Only Broadcast and Film News Media who are legitimately accredited and credentialed by SnF are allowed to broadcast, rebroadcast, or cablecast video material obtained at the Sun ’n Fun Fly-In event.
- All legitimately accredited and credentialed Broadcast and Film News Media must agree to follow the SnF Guidelines for Television crews, including all SnF grounds access provisions, as later stated in this policy.
- Use of any Recordings obtained from any SnF event shall be limited to five minutes and must be used within 48 hours after the close of the event, except by permission of SnF.
- All Recordings of SnF events obtained from SnF must provide the appropriate video credit "Courtesy of Sun ’n Fun Fly-In, Inc."
Guidelines for Television/Video Crews
- Television crews must follow the directions of officials at all times. If matters require clarification, contact the Sun 'n Fun Media Department, located in the SnF Press Headquarters.
- Television crews must remain behind the established crowd line at all times while filming the air show or other aerial activities.
- Persons and vehicles of any type (golf cart, automobiles, motorbikes, bicycles, etc.) are not permitted beyond the crowd line without authorization from SnF. Those requiring access for the purpose of performing their job should contact the SnF Media Department through the onsite SnF Press Headquarters to obtain additional permissions. The SnF Media Department works in conjunction with SnF Air Operations to coordinate additional permissions for access beyond the crowd line. Anyone going beyond the crowd line without the proper authorization may be escorted off the field and access to future events may be denied and/or limited.
- Safety is the primary concern of any decisions made by SnF while directing television crews and other media representatives on the grounds. Other factors, however, may also govern the access decisions established by SnF officials.
Acceptance of your media credential means you acknowledge, understand, and accept Sun ’n Fun’s Broadcast, Film and Video Policy. Acceptance of those policies is a specific condition of your admittance to the SnF event. Any violation of these policies may result in exclusion from SnF grounds and/or the annual Fly-In Event; and may also result in fines, and/or criminal/civil prosecution.
